Running, Jumping and Standing Still

Mrs D and I returned after a rather pleasant week away in a Welsh cottage on the Gower. No paddling to be done there but instead we spent a lot of time out walking on the moors and beaches with the dog. Max walked further and faster than we did and also collected a few little friends as houseguests along the way. I had no scales with me to keep an eye on the weight and it felt as if I had put on the pounds again considering the amount that we were eating. So it came as something of a pleasant surprise then that my weight had stayed at just a pound over the thirteen. It just couldn't have been a sodding pound under though, could it?

Clearly exercise works, without it I'm sure I would have put the majority of the weight loss back on again in the week. Today I did the first positive bike ride but went rather further than I'd intended and ended up doing a total of five miles according to the Garmin. All very well but the saddle on this thing is a big factor in the amount of miles done, and after only a short distance things become rather painful in the sitting still area. So that's something new to hurt which I suppose makes a change from shoulders, elbows and knees.
